Chancel Choir provides the inspirational music for the 10:30 a.m. worship services as well as other special music such as the July 4th patriotic service, Christmas cantata, Easter music, and the most beautiful service of the year, the Christmas Candlelight and Carols service. Rehearsals are filled with great music, fellowship, and surprises every Wednesday night in the choir room at 6:30 p.m. The chancel choir is currently under the direction of Bruce Frazier.
Wesley Ringers Handbell Choir
The Handbell Ministry of First Methodist is one steeped in tradition and love. There are bells available for new ringers at any time. So come join this fantastic group who finds the joy in playing handbells, in being part of a family, and in playing the best handbell music written today. The Wesley Ringers meet September through May in the room just underneath the stairs in the fellowship hall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays!
Kids’ Choir practice is a fun, energetic program led by Greg Clark that allows kids to be kids and have fun while learning music. We will be doing a wide range of music – anything from church camp type songs to standard hymns (changed up a bit) to contemporary music – so there will be a variety of ways for the children to sing in prayer and praise. Choir practice will be held in the Youth and Ministry Bldg. (East of the church) from 5:15 to 5:45 PM every Wednesday. All children in kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome!
