To be a safe place where all 6-12th grade students of our church and community belong. We strive to help them become and make disciples of Jesus Christ who seek to grow in relationship with God and others for the transformation of the world.
We envision all of our students knowing that God loves them unconditionally. This will be demonstrated by their eagerness to welcome new people, learn the bible and share its Word and grace with the world. We hope for our students to bring willingness to seek out God in the world around them as well as come alongside what God is doing in their community and beyond.
Confirmation class is taught yearly during the season of Lent on Sunday afternoon at our Ministry Building for 6-12th graders each Spring.
FUMC Youth Group (Fall & Spring): 5:30-7:30 PM for Jr. High & High School students at our Ministry Building (430 Lamar Ave.) unless otherwise posted. This program consists of games, dinner and bible study.
It takes a MINIMUM of 6 volunteers to run our weekly programming (we prefer 8) and the majority of these wonderful folks rotate in and out as their schedules allow. Can you give us a Wednesday evening once a month? The only requirements are to care about our students and complete a Ministry Safe training & Background check. Our Volunteer Extraordinaires are these wonderful adults that complete training and show up when they’re available as the second adult present for split activities and small groups. Our small group leaders do the majority of the teaching and leading but these saints keep our program running by showing up for our students and providing extra supervision and support.
